[Geoserver-users] Polygons not filled anymore at certain zoom level

Hello,

I have a simple vector layer with polygons, which I fill using a SLD file.
It works at higher scales, but when I zoom in the polygons are not filled
anymore, but are just transparent or filled incompletely (as shown in the
screenshots). Any ideas what the problem could be?

The SLD:

  <FeatureTypeStyle>
        <Rule>
          <Name>rule1</Name>
          <PolygonSymbolizer>
            <Fill>
              <CssParameter name="fill">#FF0000</CssParameter>
            </Fill>
            <Stroke>
              <CssParameter name="stroke">#000000</CssParameter>
              <CssParameter name="stroke-width">1</CssParameter>
            </Stroke>
          </PolygonSymbolizer>
        </Rule>
</FeatureTypeStyle>

It could be a variant of this issue:
https://osgeo-org.atlassian.net/browse/GEOS-7417

Can you can try 2.9-beta and see if the issue shows up there too?
It is so far the only release with a fix, as multiple changes went in and it’s not clear
which one was actually fixing the problem.

Cheers
Andrea

I just installed 2.9beta because the bugfix sounded so promising,
unfortunately it didn't fix the problem :frowning:
Any other ideas?

I’d suggest to open a ticket at https://osgeo-org.atlassian.net/projects/GEOS, adding the style,
sample data and WMS requests sufficient to reproduce the issue.

If getting a fix is a matter of urgency, also consider looking at the code yourself and provide a pull request
(for GeoTools I’d say), or checking commercial support options.

Cheers
Andrea

The problem at the end was that the polygons were actually defined as lines
in our database. Thanks anyway!
