[Geoserver-users] PostGIS geotiff features

Hi,

It's common to store sets of geometry information (lines, polygons etc.) in
a postGIS database and have them served via geoserver.

Is it possible to store a geotiff in the PostGIS database and have that
served through geoserver in the same way or am I forced to load the image
into geoserver directly as a coverage data set?

If it is possible, are any instructions available?

Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave,

No we do not have the ability to serve coverages directly from a postgis database. You will need to generate a file and serve it through the conventional means.
