Hello all
I’ve downloaded and installed Geoserver 2.2.2 on ubuntu 12.04.
I am following the “Configuring Digest Authentication” tutorial available at http://docs.geoserver.org/stable/en/user/security/tutorials/digest/index.html.
All goes ok until I get to steps 9 and 10, when it seems like the changes I make to the “Filter Chains” settings do not get saved.
I have tested (as suggested) using curl and the getcapabilities request works with basic authentication (which is not what I want).
Is this a bug, or is there something I am missing?
Many Thanks,
Mike Flavell.
This may be a bug. There is a patch almost finished reworking the security GUI.
Look here
http://geoserver.org/display/GEOS/GSIP+82+-+Reworking+security+filter+chains
I hope to get this in for version 2.3 and I will send a mail on the mailing list when a nightly build is available.
