Hi,
I am passing for a problem with SLD and would like to know if bug of the GeoServer is one. The situation is the following one, has a SLD (http://siaiacad09.univali.br/sld/publico/Aves.sld), where I use ExternalGraphics. Problem is that when makes it the call (GetLegendGraphics) in my WebGIS (MapBuilder), the legend is generated with problems, of the type, to change images, or exactly not to load some. It would like to know if some of you already passed therefore, is using version 1.5.3.
PS: The image in attach would have to be with all the icons in the legend.

Hi Fernando,
afaik this bug is new, has never been reported. Is there any
chance you can create an issue report in jira and attach everything
is needed to reproduce the issue, that is:
* a sample of your data (as a shapefile or a postgis dump)
* the sld and the images (as long as they are online, like now, you
can just link to them)
This would ease our work a lot.
Cheers
Andrea

Fernando,
I've encountered something similar before, but...
1) Is the number of images shown the same every time you load the legend ?
2) Does this happen only with IE ? Have you noticed different behavior with different browsers ?

Fernando,
I've encountered something similar before, but...
Interesting... how did you diagnose the problem, and what was the fix?

It happened with IE6, and was related to some sort of timeout on the IE side (I asked Microsoft, but they were unable to come up with a solution). It was a combination of low connection speed, server load, and number of images loaded.
Caching the images server-side helped... but I preferred to play it safe and reduce the number of images shown, or, better, making the legend "by hand".

Hi Luca,
We testing a little more, and discover that the problem was in the server, in the request (GetLegendGraphic) we gave to time out.
Thank you!
