[Geoserver-users] proxy Server blocks display of map

Hi,

Suppose I have a web application running from a server that is using geoserver to display map constructed using mapbuilder,

the web application runs just fine but I cannot see the map at all.

My suspicions are that the proxy server at my company is somehow blocking the map display because I can view the map the moment when I am doing so from a public terminal.

How should I advise the security dept in my company so that I can view the map? Are there any particular ports that must be open ?

Thank you.

Kim Sia

Well, who is serving the MapBuilder html and javascript? A separate Apache install? Java web containers out of the box do run on 8080,
so that may be the port you have to open, unless of course you configured your web container otherwise.
