I have uploaded a pyramidal tif in my GeoServer, if I use the referred WMS in Qgis (as a client) does it use the same logic during the viewer?

Ciao Marco,
the client through the WMS protocol does not know about pyramids on the server.
It is GeoServer that picks out the best level depending on the
requests being made by the client.
