[Geoserver-users] Query of raster cell values

Hi,

How to get a cell value of my coverage(raster)?
What query I can use?
If unable to do so using the geoserver how else could I do?

Thanks
André

I guess this is your lucky week. We just added support for rasters in GetFeatureInfo (thanks Cedric for the initial patch) and it will be
included in GeoServer 1.6.1 release.
Basically open the preview on a raster, click on the map and you'll
get the value of each band in your raster as a result.

I was going to say grab a nightly here:
http://gridlock.openplans.org/geoserver/1.6.x/

but apparently the host is down. I'll have to check with the admins,
which unfortunately do wake up 7 hours or so from now, to bring it
back to life.

When it's avaiable again give it a shot, it's quite new so it
may or may not suite your needs.

Cheers
Andrea
