Hi Hartmut,
3 methods.
1. sledgehammer approach: delete or rename the layers
2. via interface: 'demo' page --> 'Seed this layer' ---> 'Type of operation'
select 'Reseed - regenerate all tiles'
3. Let the user do it: expire them using the geowebcache.xml
Cheers

I am sure, that would work but doing it for about 200 Layers....
2. via interface: 'demo' page --> 'Seed this layer' ---> 'Type of

Thanks a lot for that hint, I did not see that option (only tried
"Seed - generate missing tiles".
But still it does not work, the preview still shows the symbols for
broken images...

Cant seem to find that file in webapps/geoserver.
Anyway would it be safe to wipe geoserver/data/gwc-layers ? And then
re-enable caching for the given 200 layers ....
Guess, I have to read more friendly manuals
Cheers
Christian

Maybe your problem isn’t that the tiles need reseeding then. You shouldn’t be getting the “broken images” tile. Re-seeding only needs to be done when the old tiles are out of date. If the service wasn’t working in the first place re-seeding is unlikely to solve anything.
Does/did the service work before reseeding?
