[Geoserver-users] Release blocked, lack of builds

Hi,
I was setting up to do the final releases, but it seems we are lacking all the relevant
builds to be used for a release, to start with.

The release indeed requires to check if GeoServer has passed the CITE tests,
pick the GeoTools and GeoServer revision numbers from it, and cut the
release there.

Unfortunately, there is no GeoServer 2.8.x, 2.8.x-nightly, and CITE tests builds,
so we have nothing to refer to.

I’m going to try and setup the missing builds myself, in the interest of expedience,
since we are already late enough.

Hi,
added the builds needed, but I experienced troubles with builds failing due to OOM.
I could reproduce locally and the vertict is, we are just loading too many classes to
run the tests with just 256MB of memory, pumped them up to 512.

Now the normal build of 2.8.x succeded, but it’s having a really hard time uploading
the artifacts to repo.boundlessgeo.com/main, e.g., from a log:

My home ADSL connection has similar performance? :slight_smile:

And it’s now simply stuck on the upload of on another artifact, I anticipate it will eventually fail:

Hum… this is not looking good. Calling it a day, hoping that someone can help with the network

I am afraid repo.boundlessgeo.com (and many boundless websites) have been unable this week. I think we will need to delay the release :frowning:
