So for the beta we had 683 downloads - with Germany being the top country helping out with testing. We got a lot of great feedback, and were able to crunch down on issues users on windows and osx were having.
So how are we doing on the release candidate?
Thus far we have 157 downloads (great work) - with Germany once again pulling ahead with 30% of downloads.
The next step is to send us an email on geoserver-users letting everyone know how your tests went.
Another update on download stats - we are up to 445 downloads (with this weeks top country being Spain - thanks you!)
If you have a moment, and plan to use GeoServer in the next year take a moment to download 2.6-RC1 and test it out with your data. An ounce of prevention now can save a pound of hurt later
What does this mean? Downloads for this 2.6-RC1 are lagging behind the 2.6-beta - and we have not had any major issues reported. This indicates we have fixed the installer and Java 7 issues found in the beta and it is unlikely a further RC2 will be required.
Sadly we have not had feedback on the areas where we requested assistance.
