[Geoserver-users] Rest API Issue - Using an existing file on the server. [ External endpoints issue ]

Hi all,

I am using the REST API to publish shapes that are already in geoserver data dir,
but when an error occours, the files ‘.shx’ and ‘.prj’ are deleted.

I need to solve two questions:

  1. Is it a correct behavior or a bug?
  2. How to stop this behavior?

Any hints appreciated!
