The tag names of the topp:states example are inconsistent with the schema. This problem was not there in previous version, for example
GeoServer 1.5.0-RC1 (which is correct)
<topp:states fid=“states.1”>
GeoServer 1.5.0-RC3 (which is erroneous)
<gml:states fid=“states.1”>
Fortunately, it only appears on the example Feature types and not those that are newly added. Has this been addressed?

Ah, thanks for spotting this. I can reproduce it, and opened issue GEOS-997 to track it (http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-997)
