how can I "retrieve" the SRS based on a SHP file?

My Step:
1. Load data (SHP+DBF) in Oracle 10g SDO with java utilities. <--- OK
2. Geoserver - Data - Features Type - SRS = 4326 <------ ERROR !!!

"ogrinfo -al regioni.shp" wil give you the WKT along with the other
info. You will need GDAL installed for that to work.
