[Geoserver-users] Shutdown script bug

The UNIX shutdown.sh script in $GEOSERVER_HOME refers to a stop.jar file that does not exist (anymore?). The right way to stop this IMHO should be by calling start.jar --stop (this has apparently been fixed for the Windows version).
GeoServer version 1.4.

That's a known problem with 1.4 and has already been resolved. You will see the fix in the next release.
