hi,

Please help me resolve this issue..
I am using geoserver for first time, have no idea what is wrong with my sld
file. but geoserver is throwing this exception
"The requested Style can not be used with this layer. The style specifies
an attribute of GEOMETRY"
Please suggest me to resolve this

Hi Tara,
probably you are specifying a PropertyName with a GEOMETRY value somewhere in your SLD (can you share it with us?) and the layer you are applying the style has no attribute named GEOMETRY (maybe the geometry has a different like such as geometry or the_geom).

Please check the archives before posting questions, the very same one was
asked yesterday
(or was it two days ago, I don't remember).

Anyways, it means your style is referring to an attribute GEOMETRY that is
not
part of your layer attributes (mind, names are case sensitive, if you have
"geometry"
it won't match).
