Hi,
I tested my map application on JDK1.4.2_06 with all went right. For case of performance, I tried to move to JDK1.6.But it seems the SLD style cannot work right.
What happened to SLD render when move from jdk1.4 to jdk1.6?
And, How to make it work well?
Thanks
Alex

I don't see where the problem lies. You posted two maps at different
scales, and they are rendered differently probably because you did
something like the the SLD that powers the tiger roads sample, that
is, different rendering at different scales...

Hi,Andrea
Attached two picture on the same scale but with different rendering on JDK1.4 and JDK1.6.
Attached roadnet3.sld is the SLD file I used, roadnet.sql is GIS data on postgis.
I am still be confused and have no idea at all.
Thanks muchly for the data... next time can you
1) avoid sending this large mail to the users mailing list too
2) zip what's easily compressed (the sql file can shring 10-100
times compressed).
Anyways, I'll try this data and let you know. Oh, in which charset
should I create the database? UTF-8, UTF-16, simplified chinese?
Cheers

Alex,
the file did not get thru completely, so I don't have the full map,
yet I have at least part of the roads in the portion you provided,
and I always see them the same way as you do with jdk 1.6.
I'm missing the SRS of that data btw.
But anyways, the scale denominators you included in are impossible to reproduce in a real map unless you are doing the carthography of a city of ants... I mean, all scale denominators are less than 100 or so, while I expect the carthography of a city to use denominators like 100,000 and above (your screenshots report 1:3,000,000,000 or so), so I don't really see how any featuretypestyle other than what you named "level5" can ever be activated.
Cheers
