Hi,
I’m using Geoserver to show roads with labels. Looking to the maps generated I saw that some roads aren’t labeled, but I see clearly that there is enough space for the label to appear without colliding with others.
I tried to change the tag:
0
with different values, but it didn’t work: when I put 0, some labels don’t appear even with some free space; but if I put -1 a LOT of labels appear colliding with others.
It seems that Geoserver first determine the position of each label, then just removes the ones that are colliding, while it should first try to AJUST the position of the labels that are colliding so that they don’t collide.
Can I fix it??
Thanks in advance.
P.S.: I’m using Geoserver 1.3.3.
I've noticed strange effects with the space around labels too. It might have just been my SLD however.
The code that does the rendering is the StreamingRenderer in Geotools.
I will take a look at it next week and see if I can find the problem.
