[Geoserver-users] SQL Error building feature type

Dear all !

I have a postgis database and tables which schema is not public. I’ve configured the datastore with success. When I try to create a new entity, it lists me all the tables but when I select one a click “New” (I have a French version so I hope the button’s label is what I wrote!) it tells me : “SQL Error building feature type my_table ; relation “my_table” does not exists”. One the one hand I think it doesn’t care about the schema because it would have tell “my_schema.my_table” and on the other hand it lists me all the table which are in my schema…

I hope you could help me!

Thanks!

Best regards,

It defaults to reporting only the tables in the public schema, unless you specify one.
Unfortunately I don't know what's the issue, can you send me the
Geoserver logs by private mail? There I may find a stack trace,
which may inform me about the issue.
Also, can you dump the database structure for me?
If you use the command line psql tool, once logged in, you can get
it using "\d tablename".

I suppose when u talk about "new entity" you mean new feature. If is like this, I have a same situation in my postGIS but it works perfectly!

I am using geoserver1.5beta2, I hope my experience can help.

bye Antonello
