I am currently making a chart with information of various GIS
software/applications

I would like to know more information about Map GeoServer as seen in the
headings of this example chart:

(Of course price is free).

I checked out the documentation page for GeoServer but I am not very
familiar with IT terminology so I might have missed some sections.

Hi,

In my opinion, this is not a valid comparison. Why do you want to compare backup software with GeoServer?
