anyone familiar enough with tiger shapefiles to know where to get the highway number (like 66 or 495) from the highway features? I’m asking because they are used in the sigma geoserver demo but I have no idea where they are getting the highway number from…and it doesn’t seem to be specified in the SLD’s I have.

Someone more familiar with teh dataset i am sure can tell you. But on our wiki is documentation of how David blasby prepared the dataset for hte sigma demo. Here is the script that updates the major roads table:
