I have installed GeoServer1.4.02, Now I want to add a layer to the WFS-T
demo application. I able to view the Demo application normally and make
changes to it.
But my question is How to add layer(already existing map or a new map) to
the WFS-T Demo application?
First navigate to the bundled MapBuilder example folder: [geoserver_home]webapps\geoserver\mb\demo\wfs-t
In there you will see a tasmania.xml file. This is the main configuration file that lists the layers in the demo. Copy one of the entries in it and fill it in with your information.
There are two other files that come with the demo that are used for WFS-T (feature editing). They are templates of what the features look like (what fields they have and what type of geometry they are). You will have to make you own to do editing on your layers.
Hope that helps you get started,

We have tried this, and got the result. But this is an static, I need to
know how to add layer dynamically. Please let me know the changes needed.
Can I add dynamic values in the XML file? if Yes please specify how to add
them?
Sorry to say this but I need the changes as soon as possible. Please help me
out soon.
Well, Brent will be online again in quite a bit of hours (6/7 hours from now I guess)...
maybe it's faster if you have a look at the mapbuilder docs here http://docs.codehaus.org/display/MAP/Home, and if ask direclty on the mapbuilder mailing list?
If you found a solution, please let me know, I have a similar problem
and the same question as you. Thank you.
