[Geoserver-users] Translation of HowTos/Tutorials

Hi,

we - WhereGroup based in Bonn, Germany - offer training courses on Geoserver and WFS-T. We want to expand the training material we have. At Geoserver confluence there is a wealth of high-quality HowTos, UserGuides and Tutorials. My question is whether we could get permission and a place to translate them to German and let them still be hosted at Geoserver confluence -like a Geoserver local chapter?

Cheers

Sebastian

Yeah, that would be really great. You can definitely have permission to translate them, as long as you make them available to everyone else. I guess we should figure out a clearer license to put on them, like CC by-sa or some such.

As for place to translate, you can definitely use the same wiki. Though I'm not sure the best way to do it, to make the parallel structure. Does anyone know how uDig is handling it?
