Is it possible to somehow get a WMS GetLegendGraphic back that has some transparency?

Thanks for the response. Yes, I have tried this. The image remains non-transparent with a white background.

I was only able to make a layer transparent when I edited its style. Passing transparent=true in the link had no effects.
