Hello.
1) Layer *L* was created - Image Mosaic from .tif files.
2) Layer group *LG* was created and *L* added to it.
3) When viewing the layer there is a spot where layer is blank although
there should be images. I have openend .tif file and checked, the marked are
is blank http://prntscr.com/fr34ty.

It looks like you have a broken world file - can you find the world file for that tiff and check it?

Hi, how would I validate this file?

Hi,
Validation does not work with env function, but if you send de style directly to geoserver without validation it works.
In fact, the same file with type=“values” allows the previsualization of the legend, but not with type=“intervals”.

Yeah,
I’m guessing that when the env function integration was added, legend generation was not
updated to consider the possibility of expressions in the colormap entries.
Can anyone open a ticket with an example style? Seems like a good candidate for the
monthly bug fix code sprint
Cheers

This article gives you the definition - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_file basically look for files with less than 6 lines

Problem was that tiff files were overlapping so I had to move overlapping
tiffs to different layers and create a layer group.
Since I was checking logs on production onvironment I guess I misjudged time
of my GetMap requests or there was actualy a bad layer /bellow/ the tiff
layer and that is why I "connected" those warnings with blank areas.

Hi,
we use overalapping TIFFs all the time (satellite images do overlap a lot)
without any such issue, but it requires setting transparency/nodata/footprint
so that the parts of the file that do not have valid pixels are ignored
Cheers
