[Geoserver-users] "Unable to acquire a reader for this coverage with format"

Hi,

I tried to upload a tif file to the geoserver using geonode, and I got the the following error:

‘Unable to acquire a reader for this coverage with format: GeoTIFFjava.lang.RuntimeException: Capabilities document generation failed on coverage geonode:sld_cookbook_raster\nCapabilities document generation failed on coverage geonode:sld_cookbook_raster\nUnable to acquire a reader for this coverage with format: GeoTIFF’

Any idea? Have anyone had this issue before?

Hi Jiehua,
nope, I don’t remember that particular error… GeoNode stable releases ship with

an old and unsupported version of GeoServer though, you might want to
try with a more recent release and see if that works.
If it does not, come back to us with a sample of the data, if instead it works,
you probably want to talk with the GeoNode community instead (different mailing list)
