[Geoserver-users] Use REST API to create style described in CSS

Hi all,

I would like to know if it’s possible to use the REST API to create or update layer style described in CSS, which will be much more easier to generate than SLD.

It’s not possible. You can however run the CSS translator outside of GeoServer (see my comments in this thread http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.gis.geoserver.user/35504 ) and then use the resulting SLD with the REST API.
