[Geoserver-users] Users privileges and REST API

Hi,
I was wondering if you can add users and roles through the REST API?
Also like to know if when a layer is set to be viewed only by a particular user: Is this layer shown in GetCapabilities request? This layer is shown when listing the layers using the REST API authenticating with another user?

No, this is on the to do list but with low priority. There are lot of other
things to complete in the security subsystem.

Not sure here, but I think if you use catalog mode HIDDEN, it should work this way.
