[Geoserver-users] WFS Call Failure from uDig

You might want to try a 1.1 version of udig.

Also, are you running geoserver in java 1.4 or 1.5?

Udig: most recent version 1.1.8
Java: 1.4, as linked to from:
http://docs.codehaus.org/display/GEOSDOC/Quickstart

I think i didn't provide enough information about my situation:

When using layers that Geoserver somes with (tiger roads, for example), udig
works perfectly. feature count works, it doesn't give the error about not
being able to read the layers 'children' and when i select features i can
see all their attributes in the Table View

For the layers I have defined, which are stored in postgis, none of those
things work. The thread stack I sent was just the error on the feature
count blow-up, but I could try to track down some more logs, like when I
right-click on my postgis layers and geoserver errors and I get the 'no
children' error.

thanks,
mike
