[Geoserver-users] WFS post & viewparams

Hi all,

Is geoserver able to handle viewparams in a WFS post-request? If it is, how should the WFS-request be built? Because I tried a few different requests, but unfortunately without success.

Kind regards,

Roel

Hi Roel, according to the documentation it should: http://docs.geoserver.org/stable/en/user/data/database/sqlview.html

Can you share the requests you tried?

Thanks

Hi Mauro,

Clearly my mistake! I guess some discrepancy between the actual viewparams and the bbox I used, because this request works like a charm:

<wfs:GetFeature service=“WFS” version=“1.1.0”

xmlns:topp=“http://www.openplans.org/topp

xmlns:wfs=“http://www.opengis.net/wfs

xmlns:ogc=“http://www.opengis.net/ogc

xmlns:xsi=“http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance

wfs:viewParams=“param:value”

xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.opengis.net/wfs

http://schemas.opengis.net/wfs/1.1.0/wfs.xsd">

<wfs:Query typeName=“workspace:layer”>

</wfs:Query>

</wfs:GetFeature>

Now let’s see if OpenLayers is able to add the viewparams to the GetFeature post-request. Fingers crossed!

Kind regards,

Roel
