I am taking over an instance of Geoserver 1.5.4 and I want to upgrade to 1.6.1 but WFS requests are not returning the same results.
(The new installation points to the same data_dir.)
For example
The following request in 1.5.4 will return all of the oceans but in 1.6.1 some are consistently missing.
http://…TypeName=oceans&Request=GetFeature&Service=WFS&BBOX=-180.0,-90.0,180.0,90.0
I noticed a previous message describing a similar situation but did not find the answer.

Try appending &version=1.0.0 , the default has changed.
