Earlier, GeoServer did not support wfs-t on top of Oracle views. Does anyone know if this is still the case or if this has been added as a feature. I have tried to do use WFS-T with a view and have not been successful thus far.
Thanks
Robert

Hi Robert,
in general, they should be usable. You could have some issues with metadata recognition by Geoserver on those views, mainly the type of Geometry and primary key will not be set correctly. If you need them to work with WFS-T you will probably need to create and populate correcly the geotools metadata tables for primary keys as explained here: http://docs.geoserver.org/latest/en/user/data/database/primarykey.html
You could also need to create and fill the geotools specific geometry metadata table, explained here: http://docs.geoserver.org/latest/en/user/data/database/oracle.html#using-the-geometry-metadata-table
