I am trying to edit data from a postgis database and have successfully managed to do so on my machine but transfering the same setup to the server i can only manage to publish the layer in QGIS so i assume it is only doing a get feature instead of a WFST and the edit button is greyed out for that layer in QGIS.
setup: changed services.properties to include wfs.*=ROLE_WFS and added a user with same role ie test=test,ROLE_WFS and went on to restart geoserver.
How can I get the transaction to work: i have attached a screen shot of the wfs layer in qgis
