[Geoserver-users] when server machine log off geoserver stop how to control this issue

when after i install geosever and also i have created the shedule for run the
server and
afert i log off the machine geoserver will stop.... what is the problem for
that.... can any one give me good ans..:clap:

Hi Manjula,

assuming this is on Windows, you have to run GeoServer as a Service.

You can either use the Java Service wrapper:
http://geoserver.org/display/GEOSDOC/Windows+Service+Wrapper

or, alternatively, install Apache Tomcat 6.x, which runs as a Service by default, and use the WAR distribution of GeoServer.

Hi,

That happens at least on Windows computer if Geoserver is started as executable program by remote user. It should be run as service instead. If that is your case this might be helpful:
