[Geoserver-users] Where are all the community modules listed?

Hi,

How could this be improved? For example the Geopackage output would be worth advertising because the standard was accepted on Thursday but there is other interesting stuff too, like geoserver-sync. Could we require at least some documentation when the module is contributed and have a wiki page or something for showing more information like “Last known GS version that works with the module” or “First known GS version with troubles”?

I would like to test Geopackage but it is not here http://ares.boundlessgeo.com/geoserver/master/community-latest/

Hi,

The front page of documentation http://docs.geoserver.org/latest/en/user/ is listing a bunch of community modules but I think it is not complete. Is there an up-to-date list in some other place?

Don’t think so, community modules have no requirement for documentation, but without it, it’s hard to know what they do.

The full list can be gathered by looking at the version control system, but of course, no explaination, and some

of them might not be building anymore:

Hey,
I generally agree with Jukka. There are 33 modules listed on the github repository but only 15 of them are building on Ares it seems. Although I suspect “hello” and “hello_web” aren’t real ones and one or two are suspect, that still leaves about half as being unavailable in a compiled form.

A list of them in the documentation with a line saying what they do would be very useful for users.
Cheers,

Jonathan
