Hi,
I’m very impressed by the geoext styler plugin. It produces very neat results, even if it still lacks some features (hatches, bitmap filling, dashed or dotted lines seem not to work).
But i can’t understand how it cooperates with GeoServer. I mean, after editing the styles for one of my layers, when i ask Geoserver for the layer (e.g. in the demonstration/vizualisation section, i’ve got my pretty new style. Nice.
But when i ask for GetCapabilities, GeoServer still gives me the old styles.
And if i look for the new SLDs, i can’t find them. Nowhere.
Can someone tell me what styler does of the styles it creates ? Where is it stored ? It would be great to ba able to get them and edit them to go a bit further in te styling…
Thanks
Jean

Styler currently edits styles in-place. So, when you modify the styling
for a layer, you are editing the default style for that layer and
whatever changes you save overwrite the pre-existing style.
Hope this helps.
