[Geoserver-users] WMS Watermark Not Showing

Hello Everyone,

I am completely new to GeoServer, so I apologize in advance if I don’t do a very good job at explaining my problem.

I am currently trying to serve a WMS to use in a product called Tableau. I set up a web map service using a workspace I created that has 2 layers: one is just a shapefile with polygons and the other is a cascaded wms. The cascased wms that I’m using is from Open Street Maps, so I want to make sure I apply a watermark for them to the published wms.

The watermark shows when I view it in Layer Preview, but it doesn’t show when I connect to the wms in Tableau.

I am using GeoServer 2.5. Here are the settings for my WMS:

My Layer Group settings are:

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you for your time,

Jenny

Hi Mark,

I may have taken a screen shot while I was doing some testing and did not realize that I didn’t have it checked. I have it checked and it still isn’t showing after publishing. I even checked the wms.xml file in the data_dir/workspaces/[myworqspacename] and it shows that the watermark is enabled.

Thanks for your help,

Jenny

Is it possible that Tableau makes WMS requests that are larger than the
area you're seeing, and as a result the watermark gets cut away?
Try putting it at the center of the map

Cheers
