Hi,
I suppose that it happens because the GetFeatureInfo system was heavily improved to suit as well as possible with all that shows on the map: road widths, sizes and shapes of the symbols. If polygon has no fill there is nothing visible on the map and the current implementation thinks that there is nothing interesting to make queries about. This is probably a case that just did not come into the minds of the developers. Are you willing to file a ticket to Jira?

Aihe: RE: [Geoserver-users] wmsgetfeatureinfo only works on polygon boundaries not “centre”
Hi
Yes the style had no fill – I tried changing the style to one with fill and the polygon then works correctly
Strange feature – guess I will have to go for a 99% transparent fill !

Hi,
Interesting. Do you possibly draw only polygon outlines in your styles but not fill at all? If this is the case, would adding a fill change the behaviour?

I have some tables recently added to geoserver and wmsgetfeatureinfo only returns a result if I click on the lines which form the polygon perimeter I have checked and the original table has got regions and not line features
Any ideas ?
