Non saprei aggiungere nulla di più di quello che ha detto napo....
io ho un po' di esperienza su postgres,...
ma non ne ho su MySQL....
comunque la comunità gfoss tende a prediligere postgres/postgis...
e devo dire che, come utilizzo desktop, mi sono trovato benissimo...
se non sbaglio paolo aveva sostenuto lo sviluppo (con faunalia) del
driver MySQL per Grass...
non ne sono sicuro... magari lui sa dirti qualcosa di più....

Con riferimento al workshop di Perugia, Ivana Marchesini ha fatto
riferimento a PostgreSQL\PostGIS nello specifico per il trattamento
dei vettoriali
Essendo MySQL uno dei più famosi DBS FREE e visto che atttualmente
esiste la possibilità di trattare dati geografici vettoriali qual è
la differenza con PostgreSQL\PostGIS?
Da ciò che ho letto, PostgreSQL\PostGIS sembra essere più efficiente e
e più completo.
Altre note interessanti riguardo all'implementatione OGC SF dei due
DBMS ?
