Article 5 of the directive, para 2 (a) states that metadata should include information on the ‘conformity of spatial data sets with the implementing rules provided for in Article 7(1)’. It is not clear how the IR addresses this requirement, in addition to which there is a timing issue given that the IR for ‘interoperability’ (specifications) will only be available after the requirement to implement the metadata IR
Proposta:
Ensure the IR covers this requirement. In addition, revise the INSPIRE work programme to reflect the content (and timing) of the directive.
