My name is Werner Stadler. I am employed in South Africa as an
Arc/Info specialist at the Dept. of Water Affairs and Forestry (Gov).
We have only recently heard about the GRASS package, but have
had a lot of problems downloading it because of the size (amount of
files) .
Is there any possibility of getting the package(for Solaris) on CD or other
media? I have heard that a Canadian company have enhanced it and are
selling it (Win '95 ) - any info on that?

Sometime soon GRASSLANDS (from L.A.S. of Montreal, Canada) for Solaris should
be ready for public domain use. Their Windows NT version sells for $850 US.
