OK, had some time now.

The patch works against current CVS. Grass built and installed OK.
db.copy doesn't segfault when trying to ovewrite an existing table and
works properly when copying table under unique name. All seems fine.
Tested only using DBF though.

Could someone apply Martin's patch?

Patch applied to both HEAD and 6.1.0-Branch.
