[GRASS-dev] d.rast.edit: what does aspect do?

Hi,

the new d.rast.edit (.tcl) is very nice, a huge improvement on the old.

one question: what does the aspect map do? is it purely informative?

It just causes arrows to be drawn. I have no idea what it's meant for;
it was included because the original d.rast.edit provided that
feature.
