[GRASS-dev] Failed to create Windows Grass Installer

Hi All,

We had failed to create Grass Windows Installer from grass source of release build (version 7.2.0). We took help from the Compiling Grass on MS Windows link. We had successfully compiled the code on Windows and tested. Then, we tried to create the Windows Grass Installer using the steps specified in the above link. However, we stuck in the last step, i.e compiling Grass-Installer-nsi file.

Steps followed to create Windows installer after testing the compiled Grass code.

  1. Copied the “mswindows” directory contents to “temp” directory in C drive

  2. Created the Grass self-contained package by running the Grass-Packager.bat

  3. Installed NSIS into C:\DevTools

  4. Installed Untgz plugin.

  5. Install AccessControl plugin.

  6. Compiled the Grass-Installer.nsi.

Failed the “Grass-Installer.nsi” compilation with the following error.

Processed 1 file, writing output:
Adding plug-ins initializing function… Done!
Processing pages… Done!
Removing unused resources… Done!
Generating language tables… Done!
Generating uninstaller… Internal compiler error #12345: deflateInit() failed(initialization failed [-2]).

Note: you may have one or two (large) stale temporary file(s)
left in your temporary directory (Generally this only happens on Windows 9x).

Please help us in resolving the above issue.

Maybe the disk or RAM are full?
