first of all greetings from Seoul, I know that this topic is for the
next year, but organization of FOSS4G 2016 is started and already in
Como during FOSS4G Europe 2015 I was approached by Astrid Emde (the
code sprint head) asking if we would like to have a longer code sprint
during the event.
In these days I spoke with Till Adams (the conference chair) and he
told me that the idea is to have 4 days sprint before the conference
from Saturday to Tuesday. The organization already reserve a big
caravan camping that could host us during these days (probably for the
entire conference period)
Are we interested? I think yes, but I would like to know your point of view
I could manage the organization for the GRASS community and kept in
touch with the conference organization.

I think that at such an occasion it also would be very interesting to get a

appreciated such a resource to enable people to discover GRASS more
autonomously.
At this stage we have many different localized resources, but I think having
a centralized training manual which people could then translate to different
languages would be helpful.
We could also start a discussion about the software to use and create
a repository and try to start to centralize the material already
existing
If we can get together a small team for 4 days, we should be able to already
get a basic manual up and running.
+1
Just as a reminder: FOSS4G 2016 will take place in Bonn, Germany.
Cool! I am inn (if nothing unpredictable happens)!
I could also imagine to work on something like the "GRASS GIS locations created from public data" idea for GSoC 2014/2015: https://trac.osgeo.org/grass/wiki/GSoC/2015
Cheers

Dear all,
it might be interesting to look at <https://taiga.io/>\. It might well
serve the sprint event, as well as other managerial/organisational aspects.
