Wolf,

I emailed in several suggestion when this was first announced, but haven't seen any of them in this list. I probably don't have the email any longer, but I remember suggesting:

1) a wxPython replacement for NVIZ
2) completing the full range of vector querying options (suggestion that I posted to the WIKI 9 months back)

I had a couple others but can't remember.

I'd also add a

3) comprehensive legend creator that would work with vector and raster data, and
4) vector color table management like raster color tables.

Hmmm somehow I've missed them... :frowning: sorry about that.

1) a wxPython replacement for NVIZ

This is mentioned on the talk side of http://grass.gdf-hannover.de/wiki/GRASS_SoC_Ideas

2) completing the full range of vector querying options (suggestion that I posted to the WIKI 9 months back)

Yes that would be very nice. Would you be willing to mentor?

3) comprehensive legend creator that would work with vector and raster data, and

yes please!

4) vector color table management like raster color tables.

Isn't the colors stored in the database on the vector side? It should be quite easy to construct insert statements to insert color values into the DB. What I'd love to see is a GUI tool to create these files (and queries).

Hello folks,

I have added a first iteration of ideas. to our ideas page [1] I have also listed some people willing to mentor based on some responses I have gotten. If you feel uncomfortable mentoring a given idea, feel free to remove yourself, also feel free to add even more ideas. or add yourself to an idea you'd like to mentor.

Michael Could you please elaborate on your ideas 2,3, and 4 (below) and maybe add them to the ideas pages.

Wolf,

I emailed in several suggestion when this was first announced, but haven't seen any of them in this list. I probably don't have the email any longer, but I remember suggesting:

I'd also add a

4) vector color table management like raster color tables.

there are some more ideas here:
  http://grass.gdf-hannover.de/wiki/GRASS_6.3_Feature_Plan#Wishlist

I'd also add a

3) comprehensive legend creator that would work with vector and
raster data, and

http://trac.osgeo.org/grass/ticket/89

4) vector color table management like raster color tables.

It still requires GRASSRGB column, but a start:
