i.vi is only producing 0 value maps. I suspect that it is because it is
using integer calculations for values that should be floating point.

This is still a problem for the following image products: ARVI, EVI, GARI,
GEMI, and MSAVI. I could not test MSAVI2 because I did not have requisite
soil data.

There maybe something going on with GARI (will look into it, but ARVI, EVI, GEMI are doing OK with a sample L7 DN values @ 8 bit.

Yann has committed a fix in r53063 for GARI and a missing free memory
(NIRchan) condition.
