with the standalone wingrass-installer, there are different starting modes
with gui (desktop shortcuts):
(1) "''GRASS 6.5.SVN''"
(2) "''GRASS 6.5.SVN with MSYS''"
(2) is less translated as (1)
see attached screenshots
tested with wingrass65 on german winvista-32bit and win7-64bit boxes

Comment:
Tested, the winGRASS 6.4.svn with MSYS startup does not respect
the user choice of wxGUI language at all. After restart it always
turns out to be unset.
Apparently the related variable is not parsed properly in the
winGRASS-MSYS startup sequence.
(On the contrary, the startup script without MSYZ works fine)
