When using MFD, is the drainage direction the direction of maximum flow?
This isn't explicitly stated in the documentation. What if there is equal
drainage in two directions?

drainage in two directions?
Yes, for MFD drainage direction follows maximum flow. In case of equal
flow in more than one direction, the first encountered is used. This could
be refined by using the steepest slope in case of equal flow. However,
with MFD chances are very small that several directions have equal flow.
