I'm trying to set Sans regular as the font for my GRASS session. Going to
Preferences in the GUI and choosing font, has no effect on the barscale
font. It still displays with roman default ugly font. I tried both "saving
for this session" and "Save" buttons. No effect.

I'm using GRASS 77 dev in python3 environment. It does not work in python2
either.

Can we change the default font, please? Or add support for font setting in
G7:d.barscale?

It works for me. Have you changed the Map Display font? (There are 2 font
settings in settings). Then you need to rerender.

Comment:

Oh! My bad, you are right! I was changing the one under "Appearance"
(which should be the expected effect of that one anyway?).

Closing this ticket as invalid. Will open a feature enhancement for
G7:d.barscale though and another to suggest a change in default font d.*
modules.
