Hi,

please install the mediawiki-math package, it allows us to use TeX markup
for formulae.

ISTR that this worked some months ago (Apr 2009?), but now it does not.

Something to keep an eye on: on Debian/lenny it sucks in a lot of TeX
foreign language support packages which togethwe weigh in at ~500mb
installed! (in addition to the standard TeX packages which were already
present)

now when I try <math> I get this error:

  Failed to parse (Missing texvc executable; please see math/README to
configure.)

On Aug 2, 2009 I have compiled texvc and put it into /usr/local/bin/.
Perhaps a link into /usr/bin/ is sufficient to make it visible to
Mediawiki?

The executable is in
/osgeo/grass/grass-wiki/math/texvc

but still no go. Looking at
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Enable_TeX/problems#Error_:_Failed_to_parse_.28Missing_texvc_executable.29

doesn't give me any idea.

After move to new hardware (osgeo6) and fresh Debian installation there,
the page

https://grass.osgeo.org/wiki/Atmospheric_correction#Calculating_radiance_values

is not rendered properly.

I have tried to install the math extention:

   cd /var/www/grass/grass-wiki/w/extensions/Math/math/
   aptitude install texlive-base texlive-latex-base aptitude install ocaml
   make clean && make
   cp texvc_tex texvc_test texvc /usr/local/bin/

   cd /var/www/grass/grass-wiki/w/extensions/Math/texvccheck
   make clean && make
   cp texvccheck /usr/local/bin/
}}}

but something else must be missing (again, complete new installation).

Reopening. Ideas?
